The biggest impact on me in recent years was the untimely death of my “big sister” Ann, from bowel cancer. She was very creative, played the clarinet and the viola (not of course at the same time), did lots of handicrafts, including calligraphy. She drew WOL as a signature / meme. Her death means I am now the matriarch of the small Dickerson family (our parents having died decades ago) , a big responsibility.

Owls resonate because they’re wise, loyal and keep themselves within their small family. They’re very efficient, but also endangered.
